Many students reached in the slum
Awareness raising at St. Janan Luwum S.S.
Over 600 students of St. Janan Luwum Secondary School are reached with our message about human trafficking, deep in the slum of Kabalagala in Kampala. After a warm welcome by the Career Master of the school and the installation of our PowerPoint presentation we informed the youngsters about human trafficking. Questions like ‘What is human trafficking?’, ‘Which role can human trafficking play in your life?’ and ‘What kind of possibilities do you have not to become a victim’ were being answered.
All the boys and girls, even the ones at the rear end, were watching with full attention the movie we showed about being trafficked in Uganda: an innocent girl is easily captured by a young white man with a beautiful promise of a job in South Africa. But after her arrival in South Africa she doesn’t have a choice and she is being forced to be a prostitute. Her friend from her village is the next victim….
The students of St. Janan Luwum Secondary School have received a poster with information about human trafficking and they can take now a stand against human trafficking!
Full of attention many students are listening!
This secondary school is very happy with the information they received.
